When I lived in Kailua, I'd walk down to the beach as often as I could. There's a slight rise from the parking lot, where this little tree used to be. Under it, I'd sit and draw or paint, or visit with friends.

A storm swept the tree away, and now there is just a lonely bench.

The view? The same - brilliant aqua and turquoise waters, deepening to ultramarines and indigos out near the edge of the lagoon. I miss that.

And this is how I framed the painting. I like float frames, and this one worked really well in white.

Printed on top-quality canvas, with white, wrapped edges for an elegant, finished look.

While the original of this painting has gone to its forever home, I'm open sometimes to commissions of similar works.
